Conversations through Film, Food, and Art

Conversations through Film, Food, and Art

Tuesday, March 19th, 12:40pm – 2:20pm

Administrative Building, 135 E. 22nd Street, Room 301

The Nonprofit Leadership Alliance Student Association is hosting a film series designed to challenge students’ values and beliefs.  Meant to inspire spirited discussion and thoughtful reflection, Conversations is an event geared toward propelling dialogue.  In this installment, famed neurologist Oliver Sacks explores inner vision with photographer John Dugdale.  Stricken blind by a stroke 18 years ago at the age of 32, Dugdale was able to transform what seemed like an insurmountable liability into a successful career as an art photographer.  The focus of the talk shall revolve around what it means to have sight—and to truly see.  The screening shall be followed by a moderated discussion.  Food will be served.  Bring your friends, thoughts, and good vibes.  Future screenings will take place once a month.
