Global Challenge of Health and the Future of Water course in the Dominican Republic

September 20, 2013 By lmaestro

A course through the Macaulay Honors College Travel Program to the Dominican Republic  in January 2014 and in the summer of 2015, to Botswana.

Attached is the syllabus for a 3-credit Macaulay course to be held in January, 2014 in the Dominican Republic.  Designed mainly for Macaulay students interested in public health and civil engineering, and if space allows, open to other honors students as well, it is entitled, “The Challenge of Global Health and the Future of Water.”  It has been developed in coordination with CIEE, and is envisioned as the first in a series on this topic.  Credit will be offered through Spelman College.

In the summer of 2015, we plan to offer a 6-credit, 6-week experience in Botswana on the same theme, offering an opportunity for a service internship as well as coursework there.
