Summer Internship in Washington, D.C.

February 5, 2014 By lmaestro

The City University of New York is offering a summer internship program in Washington, D.C. from May 31 to July 27, 2014 for a limited number of CUNY students. The Program will be coordinated by the Edward T. Rogowsky Internship Program in Government & Public Affairs and a Campus Faculty Coordinator at each of the City University’s senior colleges.

Twelve (12) internships will be offered in 2014, pending final lodging costs and budget.  Dormitory housing will be secured for all participants in Washington.  Each selected student intern will also receive a $2,000 award.

Please let me know if you have any students who might be interested in this opportunity or if you know of any exceptional students, please distribute the application to them. It is open to all majors but they would prefer students with an interest in national government and politics.

Applications and all supporting materials must be submitted to me by March 14, 2014—no exceptions. In- person interviews with the CUNY Washington, D.C. Internship Program Selection Committee will be conducted thereafter. All students selected for an interview will be notified by mail and/or telephone regarding dates and times.

I have attached the application for distribution to this e-mail.        dcapp2014 copy
