Congratulations to the CUNY Nobel Challenge WINNERS!
We are thrilled to announce two Baruch Macaulay students won the CUNY Nobel Challenge: Abdullah Ayaz, a junior finance major was named the first prize winner of the CUNY Nobel Challenge in economics, and Nancy Zhu, a sophomore planning to major in advertising and marketing communication, was named the second prize winner of the CUNY Nobel Challenge in physics.
Each year, the CUNY Nobel Challenge invites undergraduate students to explain, in 1000-1500 word essays, the scientific concepts behind the work for which one of the previous year’s Nobel winners received his or her prize. The essays are also expected to describe the present and potential future significance of the Nobelist’s research to humanity.
