Clinical Education Projects for Pre-Med Students

This summer, Gap Medics is operating an exciting program in Iringa, Tanzania, for American pre-med students to shadow physicians and witness healthcare at work. By coupling a pre-med curriculum with real-world experience, Gap Medics seeks to educate, enlighten and empower America’s future doctors.

“The Gap Medics program gave me all the experience in and out of the hospital that I was looking for in a trip abroad. It will give you a deeper love for medicine and change the way you see the world.” – Nicole Scharschmidt, junior at the University of Wisconsin

The fully supervised hospital programs inspire students to consider the legacy they want to leave on the medical world. The two-week-long specialty shadowing programs are ideal for college freshmen, sophomores and juniors on a pre-med track.
