Upcoming SCDC Programs: Job Search Boot Camp, RSSP, & P2P

Upcoming SCDC Programs

Job Search Boot Camp
Tuesdays from 1:00-2:30, Room 2-190: June 9, 16, 23, & 30

Seniors and recent alumni (1-3 years postgrad) who are seeking employment may join this weekly group to learn about the most effective job search methods, ask questions, and engage in activities to enhance their skills. Each week covers different aspects of the job search process, so participants are encouraged to attend all or as many sessions as possible. Students may sign up on Starr Search.

Rising Starr Sophomore Program (RSSP)
Are you interested in learning more about industries, companies, careers, and (possibly) majors? Do you want to improve your communication, leadership, and teamwork skills? Would you like to accomplish these things in a supportive, hands-on, activity-based setting?

Then apply to the Rising Starr Sophomore Program, run through the Starr Career Development Center! This intensive sophomore-year long program will allow 2nd year students to increase their self-awareness and confidence through a series of mandatory events, projects and mentoring. The fall is focused on activities while the spring is focused on giving back.

Passport to Partnership Program (P2P)
Are you interested in learning more about the accounting industry, accounting firms and careers? Do you want to improve your communication, leadership, and teamwork skills? Would you like to accomplish these things in a supportive, hands-on, activity-based setting?

Then apply to the Passport to Partnership (P2P) Program, run through the Starr Career Development Center! This intensive sophomore and junior-year long program will allow students to increase their self-awareness and confidence through a series of mandatory events and projects. Students will learn more about the accounting profession through corporate events, visits and mentoring.
