Join the Baruch College Team as we walk to raise awareness about suicide prevention.
For the third year, Baruch College will again be participating in the Out of the Darkness Community Walk on Sunday, October 25th from 10 AM-12 PM. Organized by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), the walk helps promote suicide awareness and prevention and educate the public about mental illness. Organized by the Honors Program, we are excited to announce that we have the backing of several important organizations on campus, including Student Life and Undergraduate Student Government.
AFSP is the leading national not-for-profit organization dedicated to understanding and preventing suicide through research, education and advocacy, and to reaching out to people with mental disorders and those impacted by suicide. Your participation and support is invaluable as a way to honor our loved ones, make information about suicide more widely available, or demonstrate the College’s commitment to this important issue.
