Nationally competitive fellowships and scholarships provide opportunities to help students realize their goals.  There are fellowships and scholarships to help pay for graduate school; to fund professional development opportunities through internships; to conduct research; to study abroad; and to work for the good of your community.  Applying for a prestigious fellowship or scholarship can be a rewarding and valuable experience.  Winning the award is the ultimate goal, but the process of applying creates an opportunity for self-discovery and self-definition.

This spotlight presentation provides an overview of the types of fellowships and scholarships available; offers advice on selecting a fellowship opportunity; and suggests strategies on making you a competitive applicant.  All students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend.

When:Thursday, November 5, 2015

Time: 12:45pm to 2:00pm
