International Internships through Cultural Vistas Fellowships – INFORMATION SESSION

Next Session Date: Tuesday, November 17, 2015, 12:45pm to 1:45pm

Location: NVC, Room 3-125

Cultural Vistas provides career-focused international internships, educational study tours, language immersion and cultural exchange programs in the United States and around the world. This spotlight presentation provides an overview of the Cultural Vistas programs noted below. We will review competition timeline and major application components and suggests strategies on how to prepare a competitive application.

The Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals (CBYX) fellowship provides 75 Americans the opportunity to spend one year in Germany, studying, interning, and living with hosts on a cultural immersion program. The fellowship offers two months German language training, a semester of study at a German university, and a five-month internship with a German company.

The Cultural Vistas Fellowship affords underrepresented U.S. university students the unique opportunity to advance their career goals, develop global competencies, and experience life in another culture. Fellows take part in eight-week summer internships in Argentina, Germany, and India. The theme for summer 2016 is entrepreneurship and innovation
