Part Time (Paid Position)- Educational Technology Support Assistant

Educational Technology Support Assistant

Baruch College’s Center for Teaching and Learning seeks undergraduate students to
help support faculty, staff, and students using our homegrown learning applications:
Vocat (a multimedia uploading and assessment tool) and Blogs@Baruch (a campuswide
WordPress blogging platform). The assistants will work up to 10 hours/week during
the Spring 2016 semester. Hours are flexible but applicants should have availability
between 10 am and 5 pm on weekdays.

The Educational Technology Support Assistant will perform the following duties:

  • Provide basic phone and email support for faculty, staff, and student users of
    Vocat and Blogs@Baruch.
  • Assist with in-person workshops and support sessions.
  • Test after updates to ensure integrity of both platforms.
  • Escalate support/technical issues to the project coordinators when necessary.
  • Review and update instructions and handouts for Vocat and Blogs@Baruch.

Qualifications:
Applicants should have experience working with web-based educational technology
tools, and strong written and oral communication skills. Experience using Vocat and/or
Blogs@Baruch in a course setting is preferred.
Compensation Details:

Compensation commensurate with experience. This is a 10 hour/week position through
6/30/2016. It is available immediately and renewable for the 2016-2017 academic year.
