La Gringa Play by Repertorio Español

I had never set foot on a stage to see a play or people in live acting, like never before, and seeing La Gringa was surprisingly good for my first time in a threat and was excited seeing live acting. I feel all the emotions, the tension, the feelings and seeing the actors’ faces, and the tones of the voices makes me feel the real emotions they transmitted just talking.  I am not an expert at all, I prefer the series more than the threat and books besides seeing a visual interpretation because we can admit I have a great imagination when I read something.

Something different about the play and the book was the dialogue was more developed-, in the book they do not make a lot of jokes and be sarcastic, as Manolo; talking about Manolo, even in the play he makes seen as a philosophical individual and makes to the public like him a lot. Also, a difference I noticed in the play besides the book was Iris, on the play Iris has a boyfriend, who is Monchy’s cousin, on the book they never mentioned before and just Monchy is a family friend and the relationship with Iris is just friends and do not be connected for another individual. Making the differences between the characters in the book and the play, was totally in Spanish and do not as bilingual as is sell, in some dialogues characters speak English but still was in Spanish speakers even in the book they mix both languages.

I learned from the play where they go to the cemetery and how Maria and Michy represent Manolo by talking about how he going to be in that cemetery close to the family, Manolo said “Everyone is going to die, I going to die. You need to accept that” and that’s a good mental state for most people, in my perspective of life because I am like that too, be afraid for dead is do not going to stop you are going to die one day, today, in a week, a month or 10 years on the future. Additionally, keep in my mind how important is talking about issues in the family circle because everyone has a different interpretation of words and can create this tension between more than 2 individuals of the same group, just put the limits you need to stay within that circle and clarify everything, I mean this because is somebody it’s don’t respect your limits to stay around you that person don’t respect your emotion and your space.

To conclude,  the Gringa Play was good and will be recommended to Spanish speaker seeing I love they don’t use neutral Spanish words, was more like Caribbean Spanish which makes everything more natural even with the actors from Caribbean Spanish countries, giving more authority of the story, knowing people would laugh a lot because it’s funny hut at the same time leave a lot of philosophical thought to apply in your daily day steps to develop as a human being. I would say I will see more real plays because this one caught my attention and I like the live action in Threat.
