
Please attend at least one BLS Event this semester. Below are a list of possible options, including some events we will attend as a class. The list is not exclusive however, so if you have an event in mind that you don’t see here, just let me know!
February 7: Black History Month Coffee (VC 14-270, 10:00am)
February 20: “The Five Demands” screening, reception, and conversation (Engleman Hall 5-8pm, screening of the film begins at 6pm, moderated talk begins at 7:15)
March 1: “Navigating Our Path as a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI): Fostering Inclusive Excellence for Latine Students” (Virtual 12:00-1:00pm) More information here. Register here.

April 15: BSC Event: New York Liberation School with Connor Tomás Reed (VC 14-266, 5:30pm)
April 16: Visit to “Histories We Carry” Exhibit at The Latinx Project (NYU, 20 Cooper Square, 2:30pm – We will attend as a class)
April 16: ISLA Event – Representa Tu Bandera (Auxiliary Gym, 4:00-7:00pm)
May 2: Conversation with Alana Casanova-Burgess (VC 14-270, 2:30pm – We will attend as a class)
May 5: Black and Latinx Studies Community Celebration (Teatro LATEA, 107 Suffolk St., 2-6pm, attend at least one hour)
May 7: Live performance of La Gringa at Repertorio Español (11:00am, Ticketed Event)
