“The visits with the Makerhub have enabled students in my MBA class on innovation and entrepreneurship to understand and apply new technologies such as virtual reality, augmented reality and 3D printing through experiential learning.
This has a major impact on students’ understanding of emerging technologies and their relevance for innovation and entrepreneurial ventures. For example, in a follow-up exercise, students are required to create pictures of the future where they leverage their knowledge on emerging trends as new spaces for innovation.
Because of the hands-on interaction with new technologies in the Makerhub, they are able to design and assess opportunities with a view toward future trends and competitive forces and critique the implications of future trends for business opportunities.”
