Announcements

March 5, 2016:

I hope you are having a great weekend after a hard work-week.
I wanted to post a brief note regarding preparation for your next session (Leadership and Managerial Style).

– There is no pre-session reading this week.
– There is a brief pre-session exercise to complete.

You have already received the “Leadership Transition Questionnaire” via email. Please print it, take a few minutes to complete the information for yourself, and bring the completed copy to class. Professor Tillman will discuss results and implications with you on Tuesday. You can also view the questionnaire by going to “Course Material / Session 2” using the menu at the top of this page.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me via email if you have any questions.

Kind regards,
Stephan Dilchert

March 3, 2016:

Dear All,

Thank you for attending the launch of the Mastering Management Program and for your active participation today. I look forward to accompanying you on your learning journey over the next few months.

Allow me to provide a brief summary of a few important administrative issues I mentioned during our session today:

1) Our learning platform is available online at: https://blogs.baruch.cuny.edu/masteringmanagement2

  • We will use this platform to distribute reading material and handouts for each session, post the latest announcements and reminders, and to collaborate and discuss as the program continues.
  • The most recent announcements will always appear on the front page (like this one – you can also find it online). An archive of all announcements is provided for each Module (see the menu at the top)
  • You should have already received your login information for the platform directly from our Technology Services. Please keep this information in your records; we will use this for the online discussion portions and for future activities that require a login.

2) Your next session will be conducted by Professor Justice Tillman from the Department of Management at the Zicklin School of Business. Professor Tillman has extensive managerial experience himself, and will lead a session on leadership and managerial style. A brief pre-session reading will be distributed via the learning platform before the weekend, and we will follow up with a reminder via email as well.

3) A 3-minute survey will arrive in your inbox at 10 am tomorrow asking you to evaluate today’s session and the program launch. Please participate!

Again, thank you for making this program launch a success. You can be proud to have been selected for this program, and the team at the Zicklin School of Business is working hard to ensure it benefits you on the job as well as in your career over the long-term. Please don’t hesitate to contact me directly with any follow-up questions you may have.

Kind regards,
Stephan Dilchert
