Group B Final Confirmation Check-in
Audience: We want our target audience to range from teenagers to young adults, as it is easier to connect with that age demographic and they directly match our young adult literature course. Since seeking out strangers is a bit difficult, we plan to each bring a few of our friends and/or family members, making the event something like a mixer
Location and Time: The place to meet will be the juice bar/cafe Greencolgies, to provide a casual and lax setting for our discussion and session. We plan to optimize our meeting by providing multiple weekend dates, either the 14th or 15th of this month, from 2:00-7:00.
I like the idea of recruiting people from your own communities. It allows for a combination familiarity and newness. I am wondering about your five hour blocks of time. Are you planning your teaching project to take five hours?
Also have you already locked your specific family member/friends into times. The 14th and the 15th is this weekend. I will ask you in class tomorrow to really walk me through everything your group plans to do.
Note: I will be really focused on whether or not you actually have a TEACHING goal. As I have told other groups, the teaching goal doesn’t have to be your only or even your main objective, but it must be a part of your project, and you must be able to articulate it and how you try to achieve that objective in your write up.
