Narration: Joseph Menzies Sr. and Heather Menzies are middle class patrons that cannot wait for election season to be over. The Menzies have lived in Lynbrook for most of their lives. The election has turned the Menzies home upside down. With each person having a differing opinion. The Menzies have three kids, two boys and a girl. The Menzies are very family oriented and pride themselves on the semblance of togetherness. However, the upcoming election has taken a toll on all involved in the family’s home. Some may say the family is on the cusp of being broken. But to Mr. Menzies it’s just another day in the Menzies household. Though, Trump and Clinton loom in their minds and their homes as the elephants in the room.
Marcello: Hello Mr. Menzies, thank you for speaking with me tonight, how are you?
Marcello: What do you think about the election? (Both)
Marcello: Who are you voting for and why? (Both)
Marcello: What do you tell your kids come election season but before you get into that can you tell me how many kids you have and how old are they? (Both)
Marcello: What do you think about the recent allegations against him involving Trump harassing many women? As a husband, what would say if Trump tried to sexually harass your spouse?
Marcello: Would show your children the tapes that recently leaked of Trump saying that men are “allowed to grab women’s pussies” because they want them too?
Marcello: In terms of the economy, who do you think of the two would be the best candidate to improve it?
Marcello: Your prediction for this election? And why?
Marcello: What happens to America if Trump were to win this election in your opinion?
Marcello: What do you think of Hilary being the first female president? Does that matter to you?
Marcello: What are your views on gun control? Is your candidate for or against it?
Marcello: Predict the next five years of America, where will we stand?
Marcello: What do you think is Americas biggest problem and what can your candidate do to fix it?

For this assignment, I will focus on the election through a families point of view. The Menzies may appear like the Jefferson’s, but they are anything but. Initially I was going to focus on a set of parents for this assignment, however, instead I will focus on one American family. That way I can hit my main focus, which is to dive into this election through the eyes of parents and their children.
