Queens Borough President Melinda Katz is accepting applications for the spring semester. The internship will provide an invaluable hands-on experience in the Borough President’s office with a greater understanding of municipal government. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, conducting research, responding to constituent inquiries and assisting department heads with projects. Students must be able to work a minimum of 8 to 10 hours per week. This internship is non-paid, but we are willing to work with universities to obtain credit.
Qualified applicants will possess a professional and courteous demeanor, excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task. This is an excellent opportunity for college students seeking government experience. All majors are encouraged to apply. Queens residents are preferred, but not required.
