Dear Reader,
I want to talk to you about my experience writing about two very important literary writings. I am not going to lie it was very difficult for me to write this essay partly because I lost my Lazarillo book so I was unable to incorporate my chosen quotes. This particular situation made my writing twice as hard because I literally had to work upon memory. The other reason as to why I found this assignment difficult was because of the format in which it had to be written. I felt that the experience was kind of generic for me in the style of Claims, Evidence, and Analysis. I didn’t really feel free to flow in my own thoughts because I had to keep that structure although I am sure that my awesome professor did this to challenge the students. I suffer from something called overthinking, so I definitely feel like my first draft is not as structured and not as direct as I hoped it would be. I know that I need to work on my paper much more and get feedback from my professor to better organize my thoughts. On the other hand, writing the essay was very enjoyable because whatever structure it was, it was my ideas which I was able to connect with these stories. These stories are very descriptive and I love to visualize the settings in my head and the characters. I think I am going somewhere with this first draft, I just really need to organize myself more.
