Saving the Worst for Last

There are so many problems in the world, from 2008 to the present, people experienced many difficulties. We see on the news every day that people are losing their jobs, stock prices are falling, debt ceiling is rising, Greece is collapsing, and in the United States, “-mageddons” are approaching.

Taxmageddon is an example, when the temporary tax cuts passed by President Bush expire when the debt ceiling is kicking in, aka debtmaggedon, United States will experience an enormous amount of debt which would lead to another recession.

While people are experiencing these “-mageddons”, Colorado is experiencing the worst wildfire in the state’s history. Texas has also experienced large wildfires last year and the worst drought since the 1950s.

Scientists connect all these natural disasters to climate change. While we sit in our house worrying about the “-mageddons”, we often ignore more serious problems that are brewing, such as climate change and global warming.

“Only when the last tree has died and the last river been poisoned and the last fish been caught will we realize we cannot eat money.
