Exploring Huck Finn with Twitter

Twitter is a social media website where people can freely express their thoughts in a quick and easy way.  By incorporating this tool into our reading, I think it would be an interesting way of exploring Huck Finn.  I’ve been used to reading books for class and just doing boring writing assignments about them but now we are able to publish our thoughts on the reading online.

By writing out our thoughts online it can I think it would be a helpful way in organizing our opinions and reactions to the reading. This can later be used in future essays or formal writing assignments. By having our thoughts posted online we can easily look back to them and use them as a type of guideline or reference in our assignments.

I also think this would be an interesting way to see the how other people feel about the reading. By seeing other perspectives on the topic, I can respond to or relate to their opinions and reactions. This can develop further thoughts on the reading, which may lead to better arguments, or material on future essays.

  1. I have a similar opinion to you, I like how we are being forced to formalize our ideas on the spot. Sometimes when reading you can forget that you’re supposed to be reading below the surface, and then essays are more difficult later. But this will make us better equipped for the time when it comes to writing.
