“Three Thoughts”
Huckleberry Finn in itself has been a very interesting read. Seems that trouble follows Huck wherever he goes, sometimes into situations he may not be able to get out of on his own. Jim being there pretty much “saved the day” for Huck, although Jim often went unappreciated he never stopped to help Huck. They started a team work where the both of them started to rely on each other to survive their new lives as runaways.
The end of the book was surprising. I realize that all the characters either died or circled back to where they were before. Everyone, except for Jim. Although, it can be argued that Jim underwent the least change during the novel, we see that perhaps he was the one who had the most obvious change by the end. We also thing that perhaps, Jim changed the least morally because he was the one who needed the least changing in himself. While Huck was finding himself and getting into mischief, he still ends up in his ‘sivilized’ society with Aunt Sally and making trouble with Tom, Jim found freedom and prosperity.
