Journal 13

The in-class workshop was very beneficial in my opinion. It gave me insight of what the reader got out of my paper compared to having the opinion of my own. What I learned from peer was that my thesis was very lackadaisical. My thesis was hard to identify because of the wording, confusing the reader. I am aware that my thesis needs hard revision and that I need to make it more clear of what I’m trying to claim in my paper. In addition, I learned that I failed to answer the “so what?” question in my paper; I can’t really say that my paper gives a proper insight to the reader.

Through this workshop, my peer told me that I have a good foundation, that my paper is cohesive. I have good body paragraphs that work for my paper. Although I’m still developing my paper as a whole, this workshop exercise helped me see which direction I can take with my paper.

When I’m revising my paper, I will work on my thesis; I need to state my position clearly without confusing the reader. In addition, I will try to keep my paper cohesive throughout from start to end.
