Week 4 update

For this week in my internship, I worked on updating the information on CVISION’s website. I worked a little bit with html just to add new information to the existing documents. I also worked on redesigning their data sheets to make them look more clean and modern. With that I created a new template that they can use for future documents. Additionally, today, I printed the “thank you” cards I designed last week for the winners of their raffle. I also started updating the infographic they used in one of their other data sheets to reflect their new branding. I’ll probably continue working on that on Thursday.

As for my side project, I finalized what my website is going to look like. As I’ve mentioned previously, I want the design of my website to be simple, contemporary, clean, colorful, and easy to navigate. After conducting additional research and drafting a couple of web designs, I decided to go with this design:

I’m still unsure about the front page. I might put some illustration of some sort instead of my logo.

For my independent study, I conducted some research on my logo. There are different types of logos that exist, but I think I’m leaning more towards Wordmarks and letterform marks. Probably using my name or my initials as the logo. As for color scheme, I want to go with the light blue and orange colors that I used for my website. For patterns…I want to use patterns but I’m not sure yet. It will have to go well with my logo so I have to wait until I finish drafting my logo for possible patterns. That’s it for me this week.
