this music video portrays two men, black and white, having a conversation about race. It represents the issue of racism as a whole in our country. It shows the misunderstandings different races have between each other.

I choose this image as my representation post because I believe it depicts how some people use their large platforms in order to create a positive change in the world. For the most part, people with big platforms try to use social media to promote themselves and profit from it. But in this case, this YouTuber is doing the opposite. This image is from a video about promoting cleaning the oceans and taking good care of the environment.

I feel represented with this artist because she has incorporated both cultures into her music. she fused both her American and Latino sides into Reggaeton / latin trap. for me i relate a lot to her cause i really appreciate her representing and acknowledging that there is a whole generation that is bilingual and speaks spanglish.

So for this assignment I chose to use a song written by Latino Reggaeton Artist known by the name of “Bad Bunny”. I feel super connected with this song because the vibe is just immaculate. This song makes me feel like i’m floating (no joke).

I chose this clip because of the risks and sacrifices people make to give their kids a better life. This adult was not the father of the kid who he sacrificed his life for, but he did it to give a chance to find his mother who he crossed the boarder for. Crossing the broader is not easy, regardless if it was legal or illegal due to the conditions of starting from scratch in a country they rarely know. I believe the same way he sacrificed his life for the kid is the same way my dad would sacrifice a lot for me. Same goes with other parents who sacrifice a lot more for their kids and to provide them with a future.

I chose the Marvel cinematic movie Shang-Chi because it’s the first superhero movie with an Asian protagonist.

The piece of media I chose is called Love, Victor. Essentially, this represents the LGBTQ community as it depicts the hardships of keeping one’s sexuality a secret and social acceptance.

In this video Donald Trump is basing a persons actions and judging a whole race on it therefore making a problematic statement that all Mexicans who have come from the U.S are rapist, murderers or drug dealers.
