Hi, my name is Kevin Garcia and I am a freshmen with my intended major set to be marketing. I am a first generation student as my parents did not pursue education any further due to traveling to the United States. I was born and raised in Brooklyn and I still currently live here. I enjoy many things such as playing sports (Soccer and Basketball), listening to music, and hanging out with friends, and playing video games. I have started playing sports since I was a kid and this still continued throughout high school as I was the captain of the soccer team there. Since the topic of food is such a big theme for the class, some of the food I like include rice, beans, and chicken. Some desserts I like are chocolate chip cookies, red velvet cake, and ice cream. I would say i’m a picky eater because if i were to try something from a new place and i end up liking it i wouldn’t bother to see what else is on the menu and just get the same every time. Despite this, I would say that food is very special because it can bring so many people together and have a great time. I am also apart of a marketing club at Baruch called American Marketing Association (AMA). I have met so many people already through this club as some have taught me a few things in my short time already here. The picture below is from the time that I visited Miami during the summer. My friends and I drove up this diner in the morning as we were desperate to eat something before catching our flight back to New York. It took long for our food to come but in the end it was worth the wait.
