I think Coates feels that it was very much unfortunate that the movie didn’t dive deeper into the real issues at hand. However, it does seem that he did enjoy the movie because he stated “First Class is narratively lean, beautifully acted and, at all the right moments, visually stunning.” This quote gives off the impression that he enjoyed the cinematic production of the movie. He was saddened that the movie was lacking in context and background information on certain issues. Regardless of the missing context he liked what he was seeing as he watched it.
In No Man’s Sky, Parkin used repletion when he kept on using the word “explore”. I noticed a strand in Parkin identifies In No Man’s Sky. He kept using words that are almost synonymous too big. The words he created a strand with are grandiose, vast, full of discoveries, and endless. These literary devices are often using to put an emphasis on a certain topic. In this case, it’s the topic of the importance and significance of the game and its purpose. Parkin basically wanted to use his own experience with the game to convince his readers to give it a try as well.
