ENG 2100: Writing 1 with Jay Thompson

10/12/21 Blog Writing Assignment

Next to the TV in our family living room, is a brown shelf. This shelf houses many forms of literature such as books and movies. The shelf blends in with the room, no matter how you angle it. The shelf has many statues and figurines in its arms. These contribute to the vibe of our room, as they explain our cultures and how we express ourselves. For example, the top shelf is dominated by toys made from a family friend, and religious statues in between.

If you mirror to the opposite side of the room, you will see the same thing. This time you see the video games littered across the top shelf. The more statues you see, mixed again with the toys. There are pictures of family and statues from a play, more books. These books are crime related, must be the father’s books. The more childish books at the bottom are definitely the sun’s. Books ranging from sci-fi to baby books.

What was hard for me writing this essay, was figuring out the wording. The easiest thing  to do was start actually analyzing the room.
