To be completely honest, I did not expect the presentation to be interesting or useful but it was pretty interesting and got to me. Almost everything the professor was saying was true and did not think about certain things until he mentioned them in the professor. He said that to release stress from yourself and all your problems is by volunteering and helping others with their problems. It changes things up in your life. You take some time from your life to be on the other said of the table and be the one without the problem. I did not think about it that way until the enrichment workshop. The workshop was helpful in showing ways to be happy outside of the common ways to become happy. It was a useful hour to be at the workshop and listen to the professor.

This meme represents my first three months at Baruch College perfectly, because it happens all the time when we have a test and it is usually true. In high school when you used to finish a test fast, it usually meant that you knew everything cause high school was so much easier compared to college. At Baruch, when you finish a test fast, it usually means that you know absolutely nothing and just want to leave the classroom to go take a nap in the library. There was this one instance that I remember very clearly in my history class. We had our midterm two weeks ago or so, and it was really long and difficult. It took me pretty much the whole class to finish, but this one person finished the exam in literally 15 minutes. From what other people have said, that person did not get a good grade on that exam. This is the perfect situation that resembles this meme. If you do not know anything on the exam, you might as well finish as fast as you can and just leave the classroom to go catch up on sleep. In high school you were not allowed to do that, so if you finished fast that usually meant that you knew everything. In college, that means you do not know anything and want to go sleep or do anything else but be in the classroom.
Music Theme
The theme that our group selected was music. We decided to pick this theme because music is very smooth, fun and intellectual at the same time. The articles fit the theme because they spoke about how music can make us more productive in a workplace and how music moves our mood. Music in general has a major impact on who we are and how we feel. I helped come out with the idea of the theme and contributed by typing one of the articles. I wrote about how music makes us more productive in workplace. Music does make a difference!
ENG 2100 M/W 8:15AM-9:30AM
Dear Professor Shaun Pecker,
I just got back my transcripts with my grades, and it says I got a B in your class. I strongly believe that I deserve a B+ in your class. I came to all your classes on time, I sat in the front of the room and contributed to the class discussion. I did all my assignments when they were supposed to be done and never handed my papers late. I really enjoyed your class and did not cause any class disruption. I hope you can see where I am coming from and see that I do deserve a better grade. Thank you for your time and hope to hear back from you soon.
Sincerely,
Xavier Carrillo

Something About Me
These pictures can give you a pretty good idea about me, but not the whole picture of who I am or would like to be in life. The most important thing in my life is my family. That is the reason why it’s the first two pictures shown in the Power Point presentation. Those are my two parents that have been with me and through everything from day one. They support me whenever I need support and help me whenever they can. They have done so much for me throughout my whole life. My parents had a big role on the young man I have become today, and I can’t thank them enough. They used to live in Ecuador, but moved to New York so I could have a better education and a better life. Family is the one thing that will never go away.
The third picture on the slideshow is a picture from my high school graduation with my four best friends. I don’t like to think of them as just friends; they are more like brothers to me. I have been best friends with two of them since I was three years old, and we still have a strong relationship. I believe that friends were created so you can have them as your second family. These guys have been there for me. We go out, have fun, do things we aren’t supposed to be doing, play soccer, play video games and just create good memories to tell our children when we’re older.
The fourth picture is a picture of my friends from Ecuador and I hanging out at some bar in Ecuador. I mostly put this picture up because it was taken in Ecuador. I love that country so much even though I only lived there for a little part of my life, and only get to go for the whole summer. I can’t imagine a summer without going, because that has never happened yet. I don’t want that to change. The fifth picture is also in Ecuador at a soccer game with a Colombian girl.
The sixth picture in the Power Point is of me sleeping on the floor. I can’t explain to you how much I love to sleep. Sleeping is probably one of my favorite things to do, and I haven’t been able to do much of that because of school recently. I could go to sleep pretty much anywhere; on the floor, the bus, the train, an airplane, pretty much anywhere.
The last two pictures on the slideshow are a picture of this year’s Baruch’s men’s soccer team which I am in ass a goalkeeper, and the other one is a picture of me when I used to play in high school as a goalie.
I think my classmates see me as a person who cares a lot his family and friends, is proud of being Ecuadorian, loves Hispanic girls, also an easy going guy who likes to playing as a goalkeeper in soccer.
