On Thursday, I took a trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art with my Art History class. I have to say, it was a pretty eye opening experience. To start off, I am really not an art kind of guy. Not even in the slightest bit. That being said, when I saw Art History on my schedule, I cringed and exhaled in disgust. It has been exactly how I thought it would be; boring. But, going to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and being able to visually witness the concept and pieces that we have spoken about in class has changed my opinion dramatically on art. I don’t know why, but there’s something about seeing famous art in person that really makes you think of how crazy it is. Plus, it had to do with our current class topic which made it even more engaging. Our visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art not only changed my perspective of art, but helped me understand the course work a lot better.
