Well, there was supposed to be a huge club fair last Thursday, but sadly it got cancelled. Luckily, I ran into USG, Undergraduate Student Government. This club is very important in all schools around the world. Not only is it a great learning and social experience, but you will also learn real life skills that will stay with you for the rest of your life. Leadership, responsibility and determination are only a few of the important characteristics you will take out of this club by joining it. When I was in high school, I was the treasurer of a couple of clubs, but now that I am in college, maybe I will try and look for a higher role. I think student government would be a great club to join because it allows the students to have a little say in what goes on around the school. This is going to be my school for the next four years, and I think it would be cool if I was apart of the organizing part for certain school activities and events. I want to try and get more involved. I do not want to go to school and then commute back home after an already long day. I would like to stay at the school and socialize. Student government would also look great on a resume. Businesses would be able to see that I like to be active and helpful. By joining this club, I would also be able to network and meet a lot more people that have the same interests as me. Lastly, I would be able to develop my management skills as well. Instead of just being in charge of the finances, I would be able to see how the marketing and fundraising aspect works. College already goes by so fast and I think this would be a great club to keep me productive.
