Final Blog post

In the last three months at Baruch, I have been able to experience the reason why I decided to go to college in the first place. To meet people, with which I could have a conversation. I found people who wouldn’t dismiss my ideas without any explanation behind it. People who are not ignorant and hard to have a normal conversation with. I was also able to grow as a person. My fear of looking people straight in the eyes, has nearly disappeared. If you don’t know what I am talking about. I am unable to shake hands with someone without looking down or closing my eyes. During the semester my friends have help me with this problem, by constantly trying to make eye contact with me. Although it made me angry at times, I am actually very thankful. Baruch has helped me to be more social. This is a big deal, I don’t do “social”.

The picture, is something that me and two friends did for the Relay for Life. We painted our hands and put them on a piece of paper that was hanged, while the Relay for Life was going on. This is actually really big for me because I don’t do things like this. I find them to be very petty and unnecessary.

I also was able to learn a lot at Baruch. The classes I learned the most were Music and Sociology. Mainly because the other classes looked and feel repetitive to me. But these two classes have presented me with new information that I didn’t know. Helping me look at the world in a completely different way, then I used to.
