The activity I chose for the academic blog post was going to a museum,in particular the American museum of Natural History.Among the exhibitions available for us to attend my friend and I agreed on going to “Dark Universe” , “The Butterfly Exhibition”, and “Cuba”.Each of them more special then the other. Dark Universe was a breathtaking experience I recommend to everyone.Everyone sat in a room and the ceiling looked as if like you were seeing a million stars in the universe.As cited by the museum celebrates the pivotal discoveries that have led us to greater knowledge of the structure and history of the universe and our place in it—and to new frontiers for exploration.The Butterfly Conservatory consisted of a hot tropical room with plenty of flowers and miniature trees with mesmerising butterflies flying all around us.And lastly I found it amazing how Cuba was described with it’s remarkable biodiversity.Everything from the spread of religions there,traditional cuisine to street vendors .Except for having some amazing exhibitions the museum had an amazing location with views of Central Part and the Upper West Side. If you ever decide to go to AMNH I would strongly suggest going to “Levain Bakery”a couple of blocks away that sells the most amazing chocolate chip cookies you’ll ever try.
