Some updates

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I’ve updated the schedule so that it’s easier to see class readings (or homework), in-class activities, and if there are any deadlines. For today’s online section, please annotate either Hesiod’s Theogony or the Popol Vuh using Hypothes.is (double click on any word and a screen will appear on the right which will take you through the sign up process. It’s fast and simple.). Ask questions about the texts or add comments, and feel free to comment on each other’s marginal notes. Then select a few lines for a close reading and write a one-paragraph analysis for on the blog.

For Tuesday, there’s no additional reading since your first close reading essay is due (carefully read the assignment before you start writing!). Please hand in a hardcopy at the start of class. During class, we’ll read and discuss Plato’s Phaedrus.

Enjoy the snow today and stay warm!
