Work for next Tuesday
Hi everyone,
First of all, thank you for posting such amazing analyses on rhetoric. Many of your posts were spot on and I’m happy to know that all of you keep a critical eye on what’s going on around you! We need that now more than ever.
Next week we’re moving on to Antigone, but before we start reading the play I want us to get some contextual information. Since there is a lot to cover, we’ll each contribute by finding out more about one particular aspect of Greek Theatre. I’ll post a sign-up sheet with different terms/concept and I would like you to sign up for one of those. Then, for Tuesday, please prepare a short mini-presentation (not more than 1-2 minutes) that explains to the class what your term/concept is. You can simply write a paragraph or two and read it out, prepare some notes, or bring a handout if you like.
To add some visuals, I also want to ask you to send me one photo of or relating to your topic so I can project it on the screen while you’re talking. This way, we can cover all aspects of Greek Theatre together and situate ourselves before we delve into the text.
I’ll copy the sign-up sheet in the next post. To sign your name, simply sign in and “edit” the post. Also, try to avoid using Wikipedia as your main source–there are many other sites out there on ancient Greek theatre and life.
When you say edit do you mean to annotate using the hypothesis addon? I can’t find an edit button on the post.
You can go into the post on the dashboard and edit it (like you would your own post). but Hypothes.is works well, too.
