Aladdin
A wife trying to delay her execution by her husband told many stories each night, one of them being the story of Aladdin and his Wonderful Lamp. This one simple bedtime story became one of literature greatest work of all time. The story took place in China where Aladdin lived with his mother and father Mustpha, a well known tailor. They were a poor a family but Mustpha worked tirelessly to provide for them . He also tried to teach Aladdin different trade to rid him of all his idleness but failed, because of this he grew ill and died months later. Aladdin spent more time being idle with his friends and while doing this an African magician approached him saying he is his uncle and they went to Aladdin home where the magician met his mother and had supper. The following day while walking towards the mountain, they approached a cave and he then gave Aladdin specific instructions to get a lamp and gave him a ring for prosperity. Aladdin retrieved the lamp but picked up fruits along the way back. He then refused to give his uncle the lamp because he needed help with the fruits first. This then aggravated his uncle that he locked him in the cave and Aladdin realize that he his no uncle of his but a wicked magician. He cried mercilessly to get out then here is when he found out the ring given to him was magic and a genie appeared granting his wish to go home.
He then told his mother about what had happened to him and convinced her to keep both the ring and lamp. Once when he was out in the city he heard the announcement that everyone must shut their houses and shops and stay in because king Sultan daughter, princess Buddor al Buddir went to take her bath. Aladdin peeped from behind her door and immediately fell in love with her after seeing her face. Aladdin came up a whole plan as to how he can marry her and he succeeded but at a cost. The African magician found out about Aladdin new wealth and fortune that he returned back to China and tricked his wife to switch the lamp for a new one. Princess did just that and he captured her taking her to Africa. All this occurred when Aladdin was out hunting and he couldn’t take the lamp with him. When her father noticed that the palace Aladdin “built” was missing also his daughter he sent for him with intention to kill him but with Aladdin’s plea for 40 days to find her king Sultan speared his life. Aladdin then wished upon his ring and found his wife. He then devised a plan to kill the magician and they were both back home in there palace. However the magician had a brother who traveled to China to avenge his brother’s death; he disguised himself all as the holy woman Fatima after he had murdered her and proceeded to the palace. He then entered the palace where the princess greeted him. The false Fatima complimented her on her home but said the only thing missing was the roc’s egg. When Aladdin was told by his wife what she wanted he told the genie but was scold by him saying he grants everything he wants but why would he ask him to bring his master and hang him in the dome of his home but the genie knew this wish wasn’t from Aladdin but the brother of the African magician. Aladdin managed to kill the magician’s brother and later on became king after King Sultan died of old age and had left a long line of kings with his wife.
