I decided to share the above article with the class because it relates to our class discussion on Wednesday. The article help explains the different non-profits that fall under the 501(c)(3) and those that uses other Internal Revenue Codes such as 501(c)(6) and 501(c)(14). The article also provides some tips for donors who are interested in receiving a tax deduction when making a donation to a charitable organization by explaining how the cause and the organization’s mission should be important to donors before providing any contribution to a non-profit organization. I found the article easy to understand and interested, thus, I decided to share it.
