I thought it was very interesting to see who our favorite celebrities support. Their choice to fund or be involved in a specific charity can tell us a lot about who they are as a person, what their values and beliefs may be.

Personally,  I learned that one of my favorite authors, Judy Blume, contributes to National Coalition Against Censorship, which isn’t too surprising realizing how many of her books have been banned in different states due to their content.

Also, not too surprising, Al Gore contributes to the charity The Climate Reality Project, and the Dali Lama supports a nonprofit named Mind & Life Institute whose mission is to “build a scientific understanding of the mind to reduce suffering and promote well-being” philosophy that relates to the ideals of Buddhism.
