Lesson Two: Shared Resource

In this Fall 2017, I worked as an intern in the Jacob A. Riis Settlement Center. In this weekly personal post site, I am sharing my person experience how stakeholder influence a nonprofit organization. Riis offers various programs for immigrants, youths and seniors. Riis Settlement is located at Queens, where most of residents are immigrants from Bangladesh, India and China . Here residents are stakeholder for Riis Settlement. Therefore, immigrants related programs have high need in that location. Furthermore, many employees of this organization are immigrant from India, Bangladesh, and China. This symbolizes that service provider and service receiver has some common connection. Here, employees are hired from the same demographics.  This is how stakeholders influence and shape a nonprofit organization.
