Huck heavily relies on lies to gather information and get out of sticky situations. The Twitter feed said he was a great liar but he always seems to get caught and forgets his name. This brings up questions about Huck’s identity. He does not have a full grasp of who he is or what his moralities are.
Now that he is on his own (without a symbolic parental figure) he is forced to think about his own views about what is right or wrong. He reflects on the widows and his fathers views when he talks to Jim about stealing. He decides for himself and slowly discovers his own values. Throughout the story, we see Huck finding his identity and morals through his cons.
