The reverse outline workshop for compare and contract essay was very beneficial. Peers gave me many advices that could make my paper more cogent. When I was wring the paper, I had difficulty putting my ideas into one arguable thesis statement. So peers gave me many suggestions about how to organize my ideas and put them together.
Moreover, they also pointed out that my topic was too broad. Instead of separating different kinds of lies into two categories- good lies and bad lies, i may put them into three or even more categories. Furthermore, I should also describe different lies in detail and explain how each character’s characteristics affect the lies they told.
Additionally, I learned from the workshop that instead of always summarizing the story, I should insert proper amount of quotes directly from the book to my essay in order to support my argument. In short, the workshop was very useful, and peers suggestions gave me a lot of insight on my paper.
