MLA Guidelines

MLA refers to the Modern Language Association.  Researchers working in the Humanities (fields like English and History) use MLA guidelines when formatting written work, citing sources in the body of a work, and generating Works Cited lists or Bibliographies.  For your Reflective Annotated Bibliographies, you will be formatting your bibliographic information  (the first part of each entry). using MLA, 8th Edition guidelines.  The following guide should help you understand all the components that must be included in each entry as well as how they should be formatted.  To access the guide, click below where it says “MLA Style Center,” then click again on “Works Cited: A Quick Guide.”
