While the whole album blew me away there was one song in particular that stood out and that was of course “Adult Swim” featuring Tuamie. The song is five minutes and fourteen seconds and as mentioned before is separated into three parts. The song begins on radio static and transitions into a dreamy almost lofi beat with simple drum samples and nostalgic melodies. Out of nowhere, Christopher Sabat starts to speak as the voice of Piccolo from the popular anime show Dragon Ball Z. This instantly caught me off guard and it was soon revealed in a documentary that Bellion actually met Christopher Sabat and had him voice over the track in his studio live. Bellion then begins to casually rap over this groovy beat in which one can’t help but nod their head to. This beat as well as the other two beats that are featured in this song is all produced by Tuamie and re-arranged by Bellion to make up this monster of a rap song. Tuamie is a very skilled producer hailing from Atlanta, Georgia and has been working with Bellion ever since “Glory Sound Prep” was in production. Bellion uses a calm flow almost like he is having a casual conversation with lyrics like “For me to fake humble’s a corny way to be arrogant.” This simply means that Bellion is proud to talk about his talent in his music and to try to act humble about it would be more arrogant than actually gloating about his skill. I find this line pretty ironic since most people wouldn’t associate arrogance with being humble but Bellion makes a strong point as to how faking humbleness shows arrogance towards yourself. One shouldn’t have to fake humbleness because it should be a genuine feeling. This whole first section is basically Bellion subtly flaunting his lyrical skill while also contradicting certain norms in society as mentioned before.

That’s quite neat, the way you detail the chain of events made me feel off-guard along with you.
