- Chau speaks on the discrimination Asian immigrants faced and the stereotype.
- This issue is controversial because America is supposed to be a free land and everyone is welcomed. no one should feel as if they don’t belong here. Asians as well as everyone else are equally as important.
- I feel like Chau’s strongest argument was about how Asians are always being criticized by others. People constantly put them into these stereotypes without obviously knowing them.
- The best argument for the other side would be the gold rush. Since the gold rush, a big population of Asians came to the US. They came for new opportunities such as jobs.
- One thing I discovered is how much asians are put into these stereotypes. Yes, ethnic group are put into stereotypes but some of the stereotypes that Asians were put into weren’t necessarily bad things even though they seem like they are.

I definitely agree with what you said about unfair stereotypes. That’s one thing I also touched on because it was a recent realization of how unnecessary most of them are, like a lot of stereotypes. Stereotypes towards the Asian community may not be terrible but the broadness of it and the fact that so many exist is.
