Freshmen Year:
My first semester at Baruch College was somewhat challenging. I entered the college thinking to myself how much of a breeze it would be and how I would be getting straight A’s. Of course at first class’s were pretty easy and I was doing quite well until I started to slack off. I will admit that it is entirely not my fault, but I could have done more to better improve my grades.
Other than the grades of first semester, I decided to pledge for Alpha Phi Delta. Pledging has been the most difficult activity I had ever done in my life. Throughout pledging I learned my limits and went through a lot of stuff that I did not think I could do. I learned to manage my time better and be more organized. Although pledging has been very difficult and pushed me to my limit, I have no regrets on doing it. If i had the chance to go back in time to change whether or not I pledged, I wouldn’t change it at all.
Although first semester did go by very fast, I made sure I made the most of it. My goal before entering college was to have as much fun as I could while maintaining high grades. Even though I did mess up on the second part, I know I can change up work habits and fix it up. I’m going to end my semester by studying hard and acing all of my finals (hopefully).
