Before applying for the CPP program I was a bit doubtful whether i should or not. I liked the idea of getting to know new people, but being matched with a partner made me feel a bit insecure. Would he/she like me? Or would i like the partner? Finally, I decided to apply, and fortunately I don’t regret.
The main reason for which I applied in that program was  the fact that they give certificates by the end of the semester. Besides, an extra certificate didn’t seem a bad idea. But, now that idea is completely vanished.
I went to the Welcome event, where we got to introduce ourselves, and breaking the ice between  the ones who were sitting next to each other.  I don’t usually find it easy to start a conversation with randomn people, but the ones I was next to made it very easy. To be honest, I totally enjoyed those minutes.
My matching partner wasn’t in the event, but I met her a week after, in a very cute coffee shop called THink coffee( which i recommend for anyone who wants to have a coffee and spend time talking to their friends. It’s close to school and also the coffee is very nice). I thought i’d be shy and wouldn’t know what to say, but as we started the conversation i felt like there were tons of things i could say. She was friendly and very understanding. We were both interested in knowing each other’s culture and talk about our place of birth. We spent almost 2 hours and a half, without noticing the time was passing by. Now I feel glad that i decided to attend that program, because I get to do what I do for fun: have a coffee and talk to people. (Practicing english is an extra advantage, even though that’s the main point of the program).
