i have recently visited the student life office on the second floor in the vertical building. The people that work there are all really helpful and kind, i remember walking in and immediately i was welcomed and helped. i had ask the day before what kind of clubs were there and they handed me a paper with all the clubs and organizations and i knew from the start that i was interested in a few clubs. for instance the archery club and UNICEF. for anyone who doesn’t know what UNICEF is, it is an organization that helps children and it promotes health, sanitation, and sustainable provisions to individuals and communities worldwide. the next day i went back to the student office, it was on a thursday a week ago, and i told them that i was interested in joining UNICEF the girl that i spoke with was very kind and she guided me to two members of the club who were waiting for other members to set up their stand. they welcomed me and they told me what they do in UNICEF. from my perspective it seems fun and about 10 minutes later the club leader and the other members came. I was greeted by the leader and i asked what do i have to do to join the club, she replied that all i had to do was help out the next time they meet up which was tuesday. I did end up going on tuesday which was also the last day of world water week. the whole experience is scary at first for someone who is an introvert like myself but most people find out that the members of any club or organization are really friendly people so i encourage the students that didn’t join a club yet to go and join a club that they are interested in.
