The Tang Dynasty
The Tang Dynasty is often referred to as the Golden Age of Chinese culture. During the Tang Dynasty, there were many political, social, and technological advancements. One of the most notable technological advancements was woodblock printing. Woodblock printing allowed writers to produce pieces of literature cheaper and more efficiently. As a result, there were more pieces of literature made available to a larger number of people across China. The use of the woodblock printer alongside increased trade across cultures within the region allowed the poetry of the Tang Dynasty to become as popular as it was and is today.
