Historical evidence can be portrayed through photography due to its ability to reproduce reality from the past .  History textbooks often use photographs to reinforce historical texts .  The images produced by the photographers are meant to tell stories .  Often times, photographers may choose to exaggerate what is shown in the pictures with different effects and techniques .  This all relates back to how most evidence about the past is all a matter of bias and may not be taken into account completely .  In order for something to be fully accurate ,  one must be witnessing the event in person and not determine it from what is depicted from photographs .
