History is a Lie

I just found out that the history I’ve been learning for the past decade or so might not even be true. The subjectivity of historical narrative can greatly diminish the accuracy of said narrative.  No matter how fair and unprejudiced you might feel, there will always be some sort of bias towards a particular side of an argument. This is why I feel it necessary to not just teach history from one angle at a time but to utilize a holistic approach to the subject. If learning about World War II for example, figure out the history as seen through the eyes of the Allies and the history seen through the eyes of the Axis’ power. I think this is key to better and more accurately use history since cross-referencing can point out the facts, fill in the gaps, and and locate errors, even with only two references.
