Yeah, you know it. Go make your own sandwiches.

One type of freedom besides the African Americans breaking off from slavery was the women’s rights. So once the 15th amendment was established on the constitution, many white females started wondering about their rights to vote as well.  They thought about how come the congress can extend the rights for the blacks but not women?  They then took action; Elizabeth Cady Stanton wrote an article on the abolitionist Gerrit Smith for refusing to sign the women’s suffrage petition.

In the short term, women were still being ignored.  Their rebels got them nowhere because the men were still sexist back then. They believed women should stay home with the kids and if the females didn’t like the marriage, they didn’t have any rights to divorce or anything. The Supreme Court took account to this situation and stood still in their belief that women should remain at home because they believe that’s how god created them to be.

Luckily, this was resolved in the long run. Women is able to get the same education, careers and most important the rights that is applied to men. Even though statistics still show that in some particular jobs that men still get a higher pay, but I think females are getting there. There are many famous women celebrities, from Rosa Parks to Hilary Clinton and they will make a difference to the world.
